Safeguarding Policy

To all Members, Junior Members, Parents/Carers Scottish Golf have recently brought us onboard with their Safeguarding Policy so that we, at Vaul Golf Club can, as far as is possible, make sure that while all members, especially our Juniors are at the Club they will be safe from harm and will enjoy their experience while taking part in the sport of golf. I am the Safeguarding Officer and am getting to grips with all that it entails but basically we want the Juniors and all members to enjoy playing golf and be free from harm. There are many policies regarding the Codes of Conduct expected of all members, and explanations of what to do if you experience abuse or are aware of anyone being abused or mistreated at the Club. There is a folder in the Clubhouse with all the relevant documents and we would encourage you all to read through it. For the Juniors, the first thing we would ask of you is to become a member of the club (if you are not one already) fill in with your parent/carer the Consent Form and Codes of Conduct which will be given to you and return them to me when complete. I’m sure that all of us know the basic rules of respecting others and treating each other with understanding and sensitivity and hopefully we can then all enjoy the wonderful sport of golf safely and without fear of being mistreated or humiliated. If you have any concerns regarding any of these matters please contact me.
